Jennifer Pionk
Nestled in the woods, along a river in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula lives a girl and her yarn. Just a few short years ago Jennifer Pionk had no idea there was a difference between a crochet hook and knitting needles, but since then she has independently published over 300 original crochet designs, had her work featured on the front cover of a crochet book, has been published in several magazines (in the U.S and U.K.), and one of her most fun career accomplishments has been teaching crochet for Annie's online video classes. She began designing, and opened A Crocheted Simplicity, in September 2012.
A self-taught crafter since birth, she is continuously exploring new techniques in crochet and putting her own unique spin on the classics. Her love and passion for the craft show in every design she publishes. She has many exciting things in store as her creative mind never sleeps, and her followers can always count on her to teach them a new technique or two along the way.
Jennifer is a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom of 4, grandmother of 3, a former residential home designer, and avid collector of yarn and buttons. When she’s not crocheting, Jennifer enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school, watching her kids play soccer, reading, sewing, running, and hiking…..and crocheting!
