Butterfly Appliques
"These cute butterfly appliques were designed to embellish my Kids Linen Stitch Sunhat. Claire needed a new sunhat for summer and asked if I could crochet a new sunhat for her doll... how could I say no? Because a doll hat is so much smaller than a child size hat, I needed to make butterflies in different sizes. Because of the size difference, the butterflies are very different from each other, but you can easily make them coordinate by using the same yarn for each."

I love patterns where I can just grab a hook and work them up in a matter of minutes. The smaller butterfly is okay, but I love how the picot really sets off the larger butterflys wings. The designer provides a wonderfully detailed photo array for the larger butterfly that really helps guide the crafter. Ill be making many more of these!
