Snowflake Keyhole Scarf
"Tis’ the season when the hooks are flying and I’ve been busy crocheting gifts for many on my list. I designed the Snowflake Keyhole Scarf for a special friend who, like myself, grew up in the 80’s with a mom who forced her to wear turtlenecks and now she can’t stand to wear anything tight around her neck. Can you relate? I chose Lion Brand Homespun for this design for two reasons: it’s sheen is great, and it drapes wonderfully. It’s been a while since I’ve used this yarn, but I enjoyed working with it again and I may choose it for another project real soon!"

I really like the look of this keyhole scarf. I love the colors and the design of the motif on the main section. The motif design is achieved by working the pattern in tapestry crochet. There are a couple of different ways to work this design, but you do need to be able to read a chart.

Last Christmas was my first real attempt at making an incredibly elaborate Tapestry scarf, and if it hadnt been a special gift for my Game of Thrones loving son, I would have chucked the whole kit and kaboodle into the fire! It was a pretty steep learning curve, so working up this Keyhole Scarf is going to be a snap. I can relate to the turtleneck thing, too. I have a short neck and cant stand wearing them either.

I love the look of thies Snowflake Keyhole Scarf. I have never been great at crocheting with a chart so I'm not sure how my snowflake will work out? But this looks so charming and different, I have to give this one a try. Fingers crossed. Thank you for sharing this free crochet Snowflake Keyhole Scarf pattern.
