Mermaid Slouchy Hat

"Be a magical mermaid in this fun and sparkly mermaid slouchy hat! The finished hat is a teens/women's hat that is one-size-fits-most (20-21" circumference, about 10-11" long). To complete this pattern, you will need a size I/9 5.25 mm Crochet Hook, worsted weight (weight category "4") yarn (about 350 yds), scissors, and a yarn needle. (Pattern includes full/detailed supplies list.) This pattern is in the English language, written in standard American terms. The difficulty level for this pattern is Intermediate (stitches you will need to know include the Chain, Single Crochet, Double Crochet, Front Post Double Crochet [used to make the Crocodile Stitch], and Slip Stitch)."

NotesThe hat is worked up using the easy and fun crocodile stitch, which is used to make the “scales” of the hat. To top it all off, there’s an honest to goodness little fin on the back of the hat – right where you would usually see a pom pom!

I used "Caron Simply Soft Party" for this hat, as it is easy to work with and has a beautiful sparkle/metallic thread throughout.
