Mermaid Tears Beanie
"Lacy V stitches and graceful shells cast a net of teardrop shaped lace in this slouchy top-down hat. You’ll be able to make it with just one skein of Lion Brand Landscapes yarn, or your worsted weight substitute of choice. That makes it perfect for gifting! The open lace stitching feels as breezy to wear as it is to crochet and makes a surprisingly warm hat on cooler shores. Let your mermaid spirit shine through with this fun slouch hat!"

This hat has a very pretty stitch texture, and although the designer has a matching shawl, this slouchy style beanie works perfectly well as a stand alone project. The designer describes the stitch as somewhat too lacy to be a unisex hat, but her son didnt think so. The open stitch is unusual, but I dont think its that lacy either. I think guys pretty much go by color anyway.
