Josephine's Slouchy Beanie
"Josephine's Slouchy Beanie is absolutely darling. It made using the Katherine's Wheel Stitch. Starting out with an I 5.50mm Crochet Hook you create the entire body of the hat. Then you finish it off with an H 5.00mm Crochet Hook to make the edging! I used greys and black to create the ombre effect that you see! All you need for this hat is some Worsted Weight yarn scraps and you are good to go!"

I love how the top of this hat lays in folds. It almost makes it look like a flower opening up. The designer has designated this beanie as for an Experienced crafter, but I think an Advance Beginner would be able to work it as well. There are a few Special Stitches, but if you have any questions about how to work them, there are embedded links to tutorials.

I like how The Lavender Chair has named her slouchy beanies after friends or family members. Josephine's slouchy beanie is an ombre, looking slouchy hat done up from the center out, increasing stitches in each round and switching colors each row. It creates a really cool wavy effect that I like very much!
