When I clicked on the get pattern link it took me to a posting on the sister site to this site called favecrafts.com I found the pattern along with a link to there to also get the pattern which is actually a download link to save a pdf to your computer. This pattern is a little confusing too. The directions to sew the lining requires a sewing machine but as thick as this is you would need an industrial machine to do that.

I think the design would be great as a fabric bag and then no problems with thickness.

I love these bags! Such an interesting design and using cord for the handles is a great touch. The bags are lovely and big too and I can definitely see myself making several in different colors which is what often happens when I come across a pattern that I really like so I am probably going to be busy for a while, lol.
