This would make such a great craft show offering! Devoted sewers would appreciate it, but Im thinking more along the lines of make your own sewing kit. The jar would be large enough to accommodate a small pair of scissors but a couple of full sized spools of thread, a threader, thimble and a pack of needles. Youd have a lot more control over whats in there than the cheap commercial kits.

I am always on the look out for a simple project that packs a big punch. My cousin is one of the best bakes in the businessand this would be a cute gift idea for her. She is not a yarn/thread crafter but this goes hand in hand with her talent of baking the best cupcakes.

What a really cute idea that looks good enough to eat! I would make several of these for the many jars I have around my house. It's worked in simple single crochets which are suitable for a beginner. I think the cupcake topper can be used on plastic cups for a cute look for a girl's birthday party, too.
