I really enjoyed the video tutorial left on the directions page for this little bird applique. It is really easy and because it takes so little material you can use scrapes. So if you finished a project and have some left over yarn this may be the item you need to take your project to the next level.

Im a firm believer that you can never have enough appliqu patterns, especially ones as tiny and sweet at this one. I like to work scrap busters like these when I have lots of errands to run and know Im inevitably going to be stuck waiting for a little while. The instructions are simple and materials limited, so I dont have to haul a lot of extra yarn around with me, just my gallon zip with leftovers.

I'm always working up little items like these! Glue them to hairclips and you've got a super cute hair accessory. You can use them to cover stains and holes in otherwise nice clothes, too.

These are great for so many reasons. First they are very easy, second, they are very cute and third, they don't take much yarn so they are inexpensive . And it gives you a means to use up your yarn stash. When I come across things like this I like to make up a few. Like a pink and white, blue and white and then gender neutral like green or yellow. Just stash them away and when your next project needs a cute little embellishment you can just pull one out.
