Materials

- Bernat® Softee® Chunky (Solids: 100 g/3.5 oz; 99 m/108 yds; Ombres: 80 g/2.8 oz; 70 m/77 yds)
- Version 1: 28044 True Grey
- Version 2: 29044 Dad's Scarf
- Size 9 mm (U.S. M or 13) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

Size & Gauge

Size: Approx 6" x 75" [15 cm x 190.5 cm].
Gauge: 7 sc and 8 rows = 4" [10 cm].

Instructions

Note: Scarf is worked lengthwise.
Ch 133. Mark every 30th ch for easier counting.
1st row: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch across. Turn. 131 hdc.
2nd row: Ch 2 (does not count as hdc). *Work 1 hdc in horizontal bar created between stitches of previous row (bar is below loops normally worked). Rep from * across. Turn. 131 hdc. Rep 2nd row until Scarf measures 6" [15 cm]. Fasten off.

Ch(s) = Chain(s).
Hdc = Half double crochet.
Rep = Repeat.

Really a beautiful scarf. I made it with Hook size J and Red Heart Super Saver 1 skein color soft Navy. The men in my family like their scarves long and not bulky. So I extended the length and used thinner yarn. I will be making several since I have 5 brothers 4 brothernlaws of course my honey bee. Thanks for the pattern
