Heres an elegant scarf that truly does not look like a Beginner project! And since its worked horizontally, you can also make it a one skein project, too. Just keep working the rows until the yarn runs out. I took the designer up on the free download, and spent a little time looking at her other projects. Very nice and very practical.

I can imagine this Sterling Riches Scarf being worn by an aunt or my mom on a chilly spring day. But for me this is more of just an adornment, an accessory to enhance the beauty of your outfit of the day. Not enough to protect you from the cold.

I see that there is a beanie with a pom-pom which matches with the scarf. I am familiar with Michaels Barcelona yarn and it is a VERY nice choice for a stretchy beanie or ski hat! You will be very impressed with the finished product, especially if you have never crocheted with this yarn before. Now, the "x" stitch that she uses in the scarf is a neat look. It is fun to do, too!
