There is nothing I look forward to more than cuddling up with a steaming cup of tea in the morning. The wonderful thing about cozies is that they insulate my ceramic mug much better than the commercial coffee cups. Thats a brilliant idea attaching the little pocket to hold extra sweetener or tea bags. I have several friends who would love these, too!

One of the ladies in my craft group was making cozies yesterday and I thought I should make one. Well here is a pattern that is great because it has a pocket on the side to hold the sugar or tea bag. I have the yarn, the instructions looks easy and I am ready to start. No more paper cozies!

I've made crocheted coffee cozies off and on for years, in a ton of different ways, using quite a few different patterns. The very unique thing about this pattern is the addition of a pocket on the side. I love it! Pockets on cozies are an extremely unique idea, very awesome, especially with the addition of the button closure. I will definitely have to make this pattern up later, as I have quite a few beautiful buttons that would add beautifully to one of these. It would also be an idea to make one of these a little more adjustable using the button closure.
