Vintage Inspired Crochet Potholder
"This potholder is so fun to make, and is a wonderful gift for a hostess, or even to include with your next wedding gifts! It is made up of nine small granny squares, and seamed to a backside made up of single crochet stitches. This easy project is perfect to finish over a weekend."

I have been seeing an influx of crochet pot holders while surfing the pages of All Free Crochet. I really like this one. It is really easy and any one with any crochet skill could be push this one out in no time. These are great to stock up on and have to give as last minute gifts.

A very outstanding potholder. The black and white colors along with those shapes remind me so much of a deck of cards. This could also be done in red and white to also go along with the deck of cards theme. Not really sure this one is a great fit for my kitchen but it looks really great in the pics.

Now I see it. I was not aware that the design for this vintage inspired crochet potholder were strikingly similar to the symbols from playing cards. The design of this is interesting as this is a piece work project. I love to complete projects like this. This has been created in my favorite color too.

Ive got to go with princess6860504 about looking like playing card suits. But I was thinking more Clubs and Diamonds. Zeemer and Daughter of Light have valid points as well. It would be easy to expand this to make either a square or rectangular shaped trivet or even a table runner. I have some little granddaughters who would love this motif for their doll blankets, too.

That's what I love about being part of a community on here! We have three different people viewing the same pattern and we obviously all see it differently! Not wrong, just differently! I saw this pattern and envisioned it in "the luck o' the Irish" done in Irish grass green and either cream or gold. So glad to be able to bounce ideas off one another and add and subtract our mutual thoughts! Just noticed yesterday that my potholders were looking worn out so I will be adding these to my list too.

To me, this almost looks like clubs and spades in a deck of cards. I like it! I would like to see this pattern being used as a complete kitchen accessory set- with coasters, trivets and potholders. I think the look is so unique and smart. The "Vintage Inspired Crochet Potholder" will have a place in my kitchen for sure.

This potholder will definitely look great in red, green and white in time for the holiday season. If you still have time, you can make several of these in Christmas colors to give as presents. Your recipients will surely appreciate your gift more as it is handmade especially for them. You may also make this Vintage Inspired Crochet Potholder in vibrant colors or in colors that will complement your kitchen and kitchen utensils and accessories.
