Tunisian Pyramid Lace Stitch Mug Rug Pattern
Use this exclusive Tunisian lace stitch to make a beautiful mug rug pattern that will make a wonderful addition to any home.
Once you've learned the Tunisian Pyramid Lace Crochet Stitch, put it to good use with this stunning mug rug.
This exclusive Tunisian Pyramid Lace Stitch Mug Rug Pattern is jaw-dropping and would make a lovely addition to any home. It also makes a fantastic gift (especially paired with homemade sweets or drink mixes and a mug).
If you are unfamiliar with mug rugs, these are little sewn, quilted, knit, or crocheted pieces that are similar to potholders or coasters. Except that they are the perfect size for holding a mug or cup and a snack.
This crochet pattern allows you to add fringe or keep it without, so it all depends on your style. This pretty texture would also be fun to play with by using different solid colors or variegated yarn colors for different seasons.

- This pattern is worked flat with the right side of the work facing.
- Do not turn the work at the beginning of each row. Each row is worked from right to left (forward pass) and then left to right (return pass).
- At the beginning of each row the first stitch is on the hook and counts as a Tunisian knit stitch or tks.

I'm really confused. I've attempted Row 3 several times, but I keep getting the same result. After following it exactly, I still end up with 2 stitches left on my hook. Is there a typo, am I supposed to yo and pull through 2 loops a 4th time, or am I just missing something? I have counted my stitches after the forward pass, I always have 19, but I always seem to have an extra one at the end of the return pass.
