Floral Kaleidoscope Crochet Square

The colors and mesmerizing geometry of kaleidoscopes have found their home in this Floral Kaleidoscope Crochet Square.

This pattern reinterprets the traditional flower granny square to highlight layers of petals and colorful borders that seem to fold into each other, thanks to the gorgeous puff stitch.

This color scheme has such a gentle, floral tone, but you could choose any colors to compliment this granny square pattern. You won't be able to resist working up a crochet blanket pattern or afghan in this design.

The more I looked at this the more it does resemble a kaleidoscope . I use to love looking thru them to see the designs change. This looks very complicated but after reading the directions, I see it is very easy. The puff or popcorn stitch is easy and gives it a beautiful texture.

This floral kaleidoscope square is so elaborate brought about by those yellow stitches. The real stitches are actually easy and simple but turns out to be complex.

What a beautiful square. The skill level is set as easy and I am guessing the hardest thing about it is the color change. Use this square to make anything from an afghan, pillow or a simple wall hanging. It is a worth the effort.

This floral kaleidoscope granny crochet square will make a beautiful afghan. Change the colors to suit your homes dcor or go along with the colors selected by the designer. There is no way you can go wrong with this beautiful 12 x 12 square. Happy crocheting.

This lovely square was part of a Blog Hop Crochet Along a few years ago. The best thing about projects like these is that you know full well they have been thoroughly tested. The designer takes you through each step with nice clear photos, and before you know it, the square is complete. No tricky stitches, nothing more complicated than Puff Stitch to be explained.

I have really enjoyed reading through this pattern! The step by step pictures showing each round being worked is the best way to show a pattern progression. It makes it so easy to figure out how to work it. Such a pretty granny square to have as a pillow in your four season room!

The combination of colours in this pattern immediately call my attention, they are like antique flowers you see in old pictures, but once you past that, the design of the granny square its quite beautiful, like a mandala, with the flower in the centre transforming itself into the square, these would be a love part of an afghan, as a focus point.
