"The African Flower Granny Square makes up in 1 about an hour. The skill level is easy. You can use up to five different shades of yarn and is perfect for using left over yarn. The example picture is made with size 4, four ply yarn and US size G hook. The instructions are all give in US terms. The fifth round makes a lovely sunburst around the hexagon of the flower. The final round make a tidy square frame for the flower at its center."

I have been crocheting for 50 years and I still revert back to granny squares and ripple stitches to make something special. Thus is a great, easy pattern.i say grab your yarn scrap box and have at it. That's what I plan to do. And the best part is no two squares will be the same!
