Soft Waves Baby Afghan
"Designed as a Crochet Along project this traditionally styled baby afghan works up quickly, is perfect for stroller, crib or playpen. Worked up in Red Heart's Baby Hugs Light, it is light weight, yet warm without being to heavy for a new baby. Written in American Crochet Terms with a simple pattern repeat, it is easy enough for even a beginner to make. Paired with the Soft Waves Baby Bonnet and matching Baby Ballet Flats it makes a perfect set for gift giving."

This pattern for the Soft Waves Baby Afghan has been around for ages, My Great Grandmother In-Law made every new child a afghan just like this. She didn't share the pattern but after she passed away, the Grandchildren kept coming. I took the ones I had and just copied the stitches and made up the pattern and this is it. I love this pattern, it works so well and is one that will be passed down. I happy to see that others are making this soft waves baby afghan still today. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
