Great tutorial by the designer. There is even a video included on her blog to help further explain the written tutorial. It is very easy to understand and follow along and looks great when it is finished. I used a pastel variegated yarn because we dont know the sex of the baby yet and it looks great.

I love the look of this Be So Sporty Crochet Baby Blanket. It will be great for spring time and cool summer nights. I like the shell stitch that makes this pattern. I have never seen a blanket start as round and end up square except done for a granny square. This is accompanied by a video that I think has some great information to help with this pattern. I saved this one and it's on my must do list for the youngest Grand daughter. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

This is a technique that Ive never seen beforecrocheting in the round to create a square blanket. The blanket is more decorative than warm as its lacy texture wouldnt trap much heat. I would strongly suggest that you watch the instructional video in full before starting on the pattern. A word of warning thoughthe first full minute is a commercial for the author.
