Ribbed Brim Baby Beanie
"This simple, yet effective baby beanie will become your go-to pattern for baby showers and gifts. It works up quickly, and allows for customization with a colored brim. Add an appliqué for an extra special touch! You’ll need to know how to half double crochet, and how to work hdc post stitches to form the ribbed brim. If you are not comfortable with post stitches, you can always just work regular half double crochet in it’s place. You won’t have the ribbing, but it will still be a perfectly lovely hat. It is made with a soft, worsted weight yarn and a size I and J crochet hook. Happy hooking!"

Having a ribbed brim tends to help keep the beanie in place. Making the brim in a different color just adds a layer of design. This pattern is fairly easy and would be perfect as a charity pattern. Changing the color of the brim will make the hats just a little different from the last.

Cute little beanie with a lot of options I think. Two-toned, hat one color brim another. I would add more length to the hat to cover little ears. which would be easy one you reached width, I would add a couple more rows for length. I like that is unisex. add well-secured buttons, or appliques, crochet flowers...etc Like I said many options
