Elizabeth Mareno
Elizabeth Mareno is a 40-year-old, fun-loving, crazy, quirky, homeschooling mom of two. She learned to crochet when she was 8 and knit when she was 34. Having kids brought the practicality of crocheting to her front door, and from that time on, clothes and toys were in mass production! Elizabeth's motto was "If it can be made, it can be crocheted!" Crocheting for charity became a passion for her when her daughter was 11 and coming out of two years of chemotherapy for Leukemia. Giving back and having a sense of community became very important. When she started creating her own designs, Elizabeth did it from her own joy.

for the X's and O's baby blanket This is a lovely blanket, and I'm dying to start it, but I'm a bit confused by the pattern with regard to the MC, CC1 and CC2. Do you start out using 1 strand of MC (eg, blue)and one of CC1 together? Then, Row 9, switch to MC and CC2 together? Then back to MC CC1 for Row 12?

Bless you for your effords. I have several projects to finish before the end of April, but when they are done, I am going to make the castle and figures, they look so, so very cute. I think you are very talented too. I also started young, at the age of 7 for crocheting, and the same for knitting, but I enjoy crocheting much more and sewing. Thank you for the free-bees, I really appreciate them since I have a very limited income, I love the free ones.........Bless you and your daughter
