These are very retro indeed! The pastels remind me of those old fashioned butter mints from when I was a kid. I like to decorate my desk with these by putting my pencil cup on top of a coaster. Another decorating idea for coasters are to put them under your small plant pots to catch water drips. It adds a little touch of color around the base of the planter!

This is a delightful project, and when Ive finished working up a set of these, I want to start on that adorable little pear! The designers have taken the trouble to photograph each step of the pattern, making it easy for even a beginner. Unfortunately, theres no pattern for the pear, but if youve worked a little amigurumi, its simple enough to figure out.
