School Themed Bookmarks
"Here in Maryland, our kids start school the day after labor day. With tomorrow being their first day of school, I thought it would be fun to make school themed crochet bookmarks for back to school teacher gifts. These patterns make great bookmarks but you could also use them as appliques and sew them onto other crochet items. I'm even thinking about making two larger pencils and turning them into a pencil pouch. If I do, I'll post the pattern. Enjoy!"

These are just adorable, and what a wonderful first day of school gift for any teacher! I love that these are larger than your average bookmark, and what an incentive to students to read. A set of these would be a great seller at a craft show, too. Were well past the beginning of the school year here, but I have a few family members who are teachers, so easy Christmas gift idea!
