Although this colorful project is listed as a coaster, it would make a nice appliqu or embellishment as well. The pattern itself uses very simple stitches, and the designer provides oversized photos of the details. She also indicates where to stop if you want a smaller flower. I made a small and regular version and then stacked them slightly offset from each other. I was very pleased with the dimensional look.

I can't look away from these colors, and I love that it's a coaster design. I've been looking for coasters for my home, but have failed on some of my cork coaster attempts. This will be so more personal and polished looking!
