Are you or someone you know a Disney fanatic? If so, this super easy crochet pattern is an absolute must-do! This Mickey Mouse Coaster is made using the single crochet and slip stitch, and is a great pattern for a beginner.

Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

This very basic shape just begs for some kind of embellishment. You dont necessarily need to embroider the entire characters face, but you could easily indicate both Mickey and Minnie by the strategic use of a couple of bows. If you work this using smaller hooks, you could also have a passable appliqu. Again, Id opt to forego any embroidery in favor of the bows.

This is a good starting point, this basic Mickey Mouse coaster. But you need to add the face to make it really pop! I could easily figure that out myself. In fact, a person COULD make a set of both Mickey and Minnie. I'll see how this works out. I think it'll be cute!

These are so cute. Im glad it was mentioned on the post that coasters make good gifts for newlyweds. Its summer time and I already been to one wedding and have another to go Not only will I make it to go along with a wedding gift, my sister is a Disney fanatic, so Ill make her a set too.

I just made my grand daughter a Minnie Mouse purse for her birthday in October. She loved it. Now it looks as if I will be making these too. I can use them here when she visits, or give them to her mom, or even give them to her to use at her tea parties.thank you for sharing this great idea with everyone.
