But for me, this is not for beginners because the design is kind of complicated. But there is no difficult design for an avid crocheter. I lieke this afghan for its colors and pattern.

I am sure that, just like me, most of us learned to crochet by making granny squares. They have a special place in my crochet heart and I always love seeing new, clever and updated ways in which to make squares in that retro granny style. Even though this is called Beginner Granny Afghan and is rated Easy I think it is gorgeous and would have a special place in any home.

It claims to be for the beginner but if you don't know the abbreviations, it's useless!

It's easy enough to learn them. I bet you can google and find them online. I encourage you to do so...You are so much more able to make more things knowing the abreviations of crochet than not knowing.
