8" Tapestry Rainbow Afghan Square
"12 months, 12 squares, and lots of fun tapestry designs. The 2018 Tapestry Square Afghan Project is going to be a fun way to try out the technique and make a fun blanket by December. This month’s square is about the Summer! June’s square is fun, bright, and perfect for Pride too (make 8 & put together an awesome Warhol inspired bag!). You may sell all finished products made from this pattern; however you may not share, sell, or distribute this pattern in any way, in whole or in part. I would greatly appreciate a link back to my shop or this pattern anytime you sell this item online."

What a beautiful design. The rainbow design is very colorful and no matter what application you decide to use it for, a wall hanging, a pillow or as part of a larger design like an afghan you can not go wrong. I love afghan square patterns and have a tendency to save them all and never have enough time to get to them all.

I think I have found a new crochet technique that I really want to become proficient in. I think that the options are boundless once the technique is mastered. Of course I had to do some snooping for a couple of you tube videos. I think this design may be a little advanced but I an anxious to learn tapestry crochet.

After reading the post on the bloggers site, I see that this cute afghan square is part of a CAL and there are a total of six squares that will make up the afghan. Each square is approx. eight by eight inches in size. I have not seen a picture of a completed afghan, but by looking at the designs to be used I think this will turn out to be a very cute summer-themed afghan when finished.

One of my granddaughters just lost her pet duck. She just turned 13 and this is the first time shes experienced the death of a pet. Shes devastated, Im going to work this up as a little pillow and tell her about the Rainbow Bridge. Weve taken a lot of comfort in that story over the years, and as an animal lover, I know she will, too.
