    "Skill Level: Easy Size: 0 – 3 months Materials Needed: - 1 skein Aran weight (#4) yarn (Light Blue)(I used “Vanna’s Choice” for this hat.) - Crochet Hook, Size G/4.00 mm - Yarn Needle (Used for working in loose yarn ends.) Gauge: 12 dc sts = 4 inches (I crochet pretty loosely. If you crochet tighter, you may want to adjust to smaller hooks to get your desired size.) This hat is adorable and can be made in colors for either boys or girls! It is a wonderful baby shower gift!"

    Beginner

    Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook

    Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

    Crochet GaugeGauge: 12 dc sts = 4 inches
    (I crochet pretty loosely. If you crochet tighter, you may want to adjust to smaller hooks to get your desired size.)

    Finished SizeApproximately 5 inches tall and 7.5 inches across

    Instructions

    Size: 0 – 3 months

    1. Round 1: Using the “Magic Circle”, Ch 1. Work 12 dc in the circle. Join with slip stitch to top of first dc. (12 dc)

    2. Round 2: Ch 2. Work 2 dc in each stitch around. Join to first dc with slip stitch. 
      (24 dc)

    3. Round 3: Ch 2. *Work 1 dc in first stitch. Work 2 dc in next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join to first dc with slip stitch. (36 dc)

    4. Round 4: Ch 2. *Work 1 dc in next 8 stitches. Work 2 dc in next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join to first dc with slip stitch. (40 dc)

    5. Round 5: Ch 2. *Skip 1 stitch. Work 2dc in next stitch. * Join to first dc with slip stitch.

    6. Round 6: Ch 2. *Work 2 dc in first stitch. Skip 1 stitch. * Join to first dc with slip stitch.

    7. Round 7: Repeat Round 5.

    8. Round 8: Repeat Round 6.

    9. Round 9 - 11: Ch 1. Work 1 sc in each stitch around. Join to first sc with slip stitch.

    10. Fasten off yarn and weave in loose ends. Enjoy!
