This is a very easy stitch to learn and works up quickly. There is a handy video to accompany the pattern, for those who prefer to learn visually. I tried my swatch using worsted weight yarn and quickly discovered that hook size needs to be carefully considered for this pattern. I used a size 5mm with Bernat Super Saver for my swatch. The texture was not as nice or noticeable as it would be with a softer yarn and smaller hook.

I always love a new stitch tutorial and this one is a good one! I love this Crochet The Primrose Stitch tutorial. The written pattern had me scratching my head, thinking it would be hard. then I watched the 6.36 minute video and re-watched it as I did the swatch. and I love it, it is easy to do and understand. I always thought I was a able to do things just from reading but today I find I need the video to help me understand and do it the right way. This Primrose Stitch pattern will make a great winter hat and scarf. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet tutorial.
