3 Inch Bi-Colored Solid Granny Square
"I was working on a large project to be shared with The Stitchin Mommy readers, where I regularly contribute, and I need a solid granny square that was two toned. Many tutorials you see require you to start... fasten off... rejoin... repeat... And I wanted to have a square created with the least amount of work, and weaving so I came up with this design. Unfortunately, you will still have 6 ends to weave in per square. This is a fun little square that can be used in many ways from embellishing, to pixel projects, to jewelry, to larger things like scarves and blankets (to name a few)."

I love it. Just as the previous poster stated, it will be great in making a mock quilt spread. I would love to make a bed throw and matching wall hanging for my guest room in complimentary colors. I knew if I look long enough this site would come thru for me as you always do.

Did you get to make the throw and wall hanging? I have made a couple things with this technique, but I have been wanting to make so much more! I love the quilt look, just thinking about all those ends though, hehe.

Ive seen so many crocheted blankets that are designed to mimic traditional patchwork quilts. This little block would be so handy in working designs like Flying Geese or other pieced patterns that use triangles. The pattern only uses two rounds, but Im wondering if the rounds could be continued to enlarge the block. Ill have to play around with this to see what happens.

The rounds could absolutely be continued! I had a specific size in mind that I was going for with this square for a particular design I was working on. Will need to play around with the beginning and end a little to get the diagonal coloring even with minimal ends to weave in, but definitely possible!
