Such a great all-purpose tote. Its simple stitch design gives it a no nonsense look that is perfect for the market. These colors lend more to poolside, and perhaps ivory, cream, taupe, olive green would be great for a farmer's market tote. The round shape at the bottom of the bag works great. I find that I can fit more inside there!

Market totes rock! They are very easy to make and are good for the environment by not filling up the landfills with plastic bags. This tote style can serve dual purpose as a market tote and or a beach tote for carrying some things with you for a day at the beach. The larger openings help the sand shake out so you dont take so much of it home with you.

I've made three of these.. Mixed the colors and addded a sunflower pocket and key ring on one, used two colors on the second and added a pocket... My daughter's loved them.. And just about finished with mine in sage and brown.. Love it!! Thank you. I continued with a dbl stitch all the way through for tighter stitches. So they can be used as a tote or hand bag...

This is so cute and most importantly, very easy. I love to be able to whip up something quickly and put it aside as an emergency gift. I was thinking of changing colors according to the seasons. Maybe a dark green, white and red for Winter? Carry presents in it, perhaps? Thanks for an easy one!
