Tessellated Triangles Sweater
"I originally designed this sweater for a magazine with the call of "sweaters". When I saw the call, the first thing that popped into my head was the triangle tessellation pattern you see in the body of this sweater. Now, single crochet tapestry patterns and I don’t really get along very well (I get rather frustrated), but I knew working into the back loop would create a fun texture, make it easier to line my triangle pattern up, and be easier to hide my other color behind without being seen from the right side – all the things that frustrate me about tapestry, so win-win! In my design process, I knew that I would need a different approach when I got up to the underarms because working in a continuous pattern only allows you to go so far, so I turned to my go-to half double crochet stitch pattern for a change of pace along the top and sleeves. Throughout the whole pattern, the stitch patterns are simple, and that’s exactly what I wanted so anyone could try this one."
