When I think of crochet sweater blanket I got a different picture in my head. I guess the addition of the buttons take the design up a notch. Created in the black also gives it a classic feel. I have seen these designs and until now I did not have an urge to make one.

I have seen these sweater blanket patterns before. This is the first one I have noticed with buttons. I think the buttons would be a great addition to the piece because it could help keep the item on your shoulders. I really enjoyed the video to show how to crochet the v-stitch.

This is really nice. I have many lady friends that are larger sizes and this would be perfect for them. Plus the fact it's one of the easiest patterns you could wish for. So it's easy, you can make it for just about any lady you know and you can make it in a variety of colors!

Love the simplicity of this Crochet Sweater Blanket, it's just a straight blouse with huge sleeves. I want to make this in a more vibrant color or earth color. Fantastic.

Great idea for a combo project is this combination sweater and blanket. The evenings and days here in Florida are getting chillier and this would make the perfect accessory to wear to football game, the beach, or out to dinner. Looks great with jeans and a tee.

I SO want to make this for myself. I love oversized cozy sweaters such as this one. I am really attracted to the big buttons and sleeves. I would totally wear this everyday in the fall and winter time.

Has anyone out there made this? I love the idea of a versatile blanket/sweater but I am not sure how it would be in reality. Please respond if you have used this pattern because I would love to hear from you. The pattern seems easy to follow, sounds like it is just a rectangle, so it would be good for my daughter and I to do together because she is new to crochet and loving it.
