I dont normally comment on crocheted garments because I so rarely make them. Chalk it up to way too many years as a bespoke seamstress. A few of my senior ladies were talking about some of the Granny Square vests and other tops they had worked up back in the day, and wondered if they were still being published. This looks like a likely candidate for them.

You can not go wrong with a granny square no matter how you work it. This sweater will get a lot of attention no matter where you go to wear it. I just think that this is scrumptious and want one of these for my very own. I love the color pallet and I do not think I will change a thing.

Here is another successful design made with the favorite crochet stand by, the granny square. This piece looks so modern probably because of the colors used and with a little twist on the traditional granny square. This design includes using a puff stitch which will provide a lot of extra texture and design elements. I just love this version of grannies to make this sweater.

The shoulders and the neckline are one of the things that stands out for me when I look at this festival ready granny square top. The tassels look better than regular fringe, too. Imagine this with a big, wide brimmed straw hat and over size sunglasses. A very creative offering to share here!
