This free crochet pattern is made in broomstick lace which gives it a nice textured look. The floral motif border really adds a nice embellishment.
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Love love LOVE this Broomstick pattern! The colour is really lovely but the pattern is what first caught my eye. I do not recall having crocheted anything similar before. Personally I think I will not be adding the squares on the border - in all likelihood I will extend the broomstick design, make a longer shawl and put some tassles around the edge. Will try to post a pic once I have completed it.
