    Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

    Crochet Gauge18 sts x 20 rows in 10 cm x 10 cm/ 4"x 4", (double crochet stitch).

    Finished SizeWidth: 176 cm/ 63.5", height:106 cm/ 42", approx.

    Materials List

    • NAKO Senet:(75% premium acrylic, 25% wool), 100 g/ 3.53 Oz, 270 m/ 295 yds): color no. 569. Skeins : 6. (Yarn weight: Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran).
    • Crochet Hook: Size U.S.7 /4.5 mm.
    • Tapestry needle.

    Pattern Instructions:

    Abbreviations:

    • ch: chain.
    • sl st: slip stitch.
    • dc: double crochet.

    Shawl:

    Make a knot and chain 5, sl st in first ch.:

    1. Row 1: ch 19, sl st in fifth ch from hook, ch 2, dc in each ch 14 times, ch 2, turn.

    2. Row 2: dc in first st, 3 dc in dc, (skip 2 dc, ch 2, dc in dc) twice, 3 dc in dc, ch 2, turn.

    3. Row 3: dc in first st, 3 dc in dc, (skip ch 2 space, ch 2, dc in dc) twice, 3 dc in dc, ch 14, turn.

    4. Row 4: sl st in fifth ch from hook, ch 2, dc in each ch 9 times, 4 dc in dc, (2 dc in ch 2 space, dc in dc) twice, 3 dc in dc, ch 2, turn.

    5. Row 5: dc in first st, 3 dc in dc, *(skip 2 dc, ch 2, dc in dc) twice, 3 dc in dc, repeat from * to end, ch 2, turn.

    6. Row 6: dc in first st, 3 dc in dc, *(skip ch 2 space, ch 2, dc in dc) twice, 3 dc in dc, repeat to end, ch 14, turn.

    7. Row 7: sl st in fifth ch from hook, ch 2, dc in each ch 9 times, 4 dc in dc, (2 dc in ch 2 space, dc in dc) twice, 3 dc in dc, repeat from * to end, ch 2, turn.

    8. Repeat rows (5-7) thirty six times, then repeat row 5 once.

      Work last two rows as follows:

    9. Row 6.1: dc in first st, 3 dc in dc, *(skip ch 2 space, ch 2, dc in dc) twice, 3 dc in dc, repeat to end, ch 7, turn.

    10. Row 7.1: sl st in fifth ch from hook, dc in each ch 9 times, 4 dc in dc, (2 dc in ch 2 space, dc in dc) twice, 3 dc in dc, repeat from * to end, ch 5, sl st in fifth ch from hook, cut yarn.

    11. Weave in loose ends. Block.

    Fringe:

    Cut yarn into 36 cm/ 14" strands. Pass a bundle of 8 strands through each one of the four ch circles on each side of the shawl. Trim loose ends to measure 15 cm/ 6".
