Meandering Walk in the Woods Ripple Scarf
This scarf features ripples of two different lengths yet is worked with simple stitches. This textured beanie is super stretchy and extra cozy. A matching Meandering Walk in the Woods Basketweave Beanie pattern is also available. Skills Used Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet Crocheting flat in rows Increasing and decreasing by skipping stitches Skill Level Easy Finished Size Adult: 4” (10 cm) wide x 77.5” (197 cm) long. Materials Premier Candy Shop yarn (100% acrylic, 5 oz/140 g/260 yd/138 m) – 2 skeins in 1507-14 Twix, or approximately 290 yd (265 m) in any medium weight yarn. US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge. Yarn needle. Gauge 7 sts = 2” (5 cm) across in pattern. Exact gauge is not critical for this pattern.

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Is there a picture of the hat? It indicates that this is a hat / scarf set. To stimulate more interest in these projects they surely need better pictures to draw our attention.

I appreciate the fact that this is a set but the two pieces are not exactly matchy-matchy. More of a "mix and match". You get a really nice texture and a lot of stretch on the hat, due to the front post and back post double crochets. The ripple stitch is simply a classic! I would prefer to have my scarf nearly twice as wide, though. Easy to make that adjustment =)

I really like the combination of the thick stripes and chevron shape of this scarf. It really makes it stand out!
