Criss-Cross Baby Blanket
"Chain 140 (If you want a smaller or larger blanket, just make sure you chain in even numbers) Row 1: DC in 4th ch from hook. DC in each stitch to the last stitch. Ch 3. Turn. Row 2: Skip first stitch and DC in next stitch. DC in stitch just skipped. Repeat until 2 stitches remain. DC in last stitch. Ch 3. Turn. Row 3: Repeat row 2. Row 4: DC in next stitch and each stitch across. Repeat rows 2-4 until desired length. Mine measured about 36”."
NotesI tend to crochet tighter so you use whatever hook you would like to get the size you want.
You can also add a border to this blanket.
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)
Finished Size36" long

- Baby type yarn
- Size H Crochet hook (I tend to crochet tight so you might need a bigger hook if you want)

This pattern is so easy, and the result is an absolutely beautiful, soft, cuddly baby blanket. The pattern is well written, and would be easily done by beginners. I recently made a criss-cross patterned baby sweater for our new baby boy expected in April, and this blanket will be the perfect compliment to it. I'm going to add a hat and booties and give it as a shower gift.

I love that the fabric looks tight enough on this so little baby fingers won't get caught and hurt. Very handy!
