Working with the same yarn over and over can become boring over time. Yes, every crocheter has their favorite yarn they like to work with, but it's always nice to try something new once in a while. Shimmering Cashmere Yarn from Expression Fiber Arts made me want to try a new yarn every day, to see what else is out there. How have I not worked with this yarn before?
Shimmering Cashmere is a fingering weight yarn that works up beautifully. You can use it as is or double up with two skeins to work up your project faster and thicker. This yarn is super soft made of 50% cashmere and 50% silk; it feels amazing against your skin and glides perfectly through your fingers. Luxurious yarn like this is what I love so much about crocheting.
With 330 yards to work with you can make a handmade gift that will last a lifetime. Because it is recommended that you handwash your project, it is sure to last longer than other yarns without pilling or getting ruined. With a beautiful yarn comes beautiful colors; I especially like Caribbean, which is a stunning shade of blue, but the other colors are fabulous, too.
Wondering what you can make with a cashmere yarn like this? Whatever your heart desires. It's great for a crochet shawl, a baby gown, a crochet cowl, mittens, hats or just about anything. When you see a cashmere sweater at the store and decide it isn't worth spending the money on, head to the store for the yarn instead. Having an item that's as soft and silky as this yarn will make you feel amazing when wrapped in it.
Using Shimmering Cashmere is one yarn you must try at some point in your crochet career; you won't regret it. In fact, you might regret it if you don't.
