Midnight Star Mandala Rug
"This Midnight Star Mandala Rug would make the perfect addition to your home! You can use it in your living room as a gorgeous accent piece or just have it on the side of your bed to have something squishy to step on when you get out. This pattern is made with a series of shell and chain stitches throughout creating a gorgeous star like center! You could even use this rug as a circular baby blanket."

I usually dont bother with crocheted rugs, but this has such an unusual look that I am sorely tempted to give it a try. The designer provides wonderful photos illustrating the completed sections of the motif. There are only 24 rounds in this project, and if you would rather make something smaller (or like me, just interested in the shape), you could work this with regular worsted

The Midnight Star Mandala Rug is a thing of beauty. I have worked with the Loops Threads Charisma big yarns, and they do work up super chunky! Your rug will turn out beautifully. One thing, though- I don't see anywhere the exact size specifications. Judging from the pic it looks like maybe about a 24-28" round? Thanks for sharing this lovely pattern! I will be making one of these.
