This is a cheerful sunflower potholder to say the least. When not in use it could easily be hung on the wall for decoration. I am moving into a new home and I plan on painting the kitchen yellow. It will be a while until I am all settled in but this project has just been pushed to the top of the list.

Pretty. I know I would love to get one of these. However because none of my peeps crochet, I guess I will have to make it for myself. And after everyone sees it they will want one too. What is a girl to do? If it is as easy as the pattern and pictures indicates I may as well go ahead a make a few because I can hear my friends now.

Much to my adult childrens dismay, I have kept my kitchen painted a sunny yellow for as long as they can remember. I may have slightly changed the shade, but its always yellow. Sunflower accents were the first accessories I bought. Ive gone through a couple of other accentsdaisies, Italian, etc.but Im back to sunflowers again. I think Ill make some of these up just to please myself.
