Skull & Crossbones Applique

"You can make this simple skull and crossbones applique in any yarn weight. I recommend you us a crochet hook at least 1 size smaller than the recommended size on the yarn label. For the sample shown, I used Red Heart Comfort (#4 weight) yarn and crochet Hook H (5.0 mm). The yarn weight and crochet hook size will affect the final size of your applique. The sample is about 2 1/2" wide. Add a fun applique to a hat, pillow, blanket, sweater or any crochet piece. "

Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Crochet GaugeNo gauge is necessary for this small applique. I recommend making the applique and if your stitches are coming out too loose then go down a hook size.

Finished Size2 1/2" wide when made with worsted weight yarn
