Cup cozies are so cute and this one is too. They keep your hands and fingers from getting burned from holding on to a hot cup of coffee, tea, or soup, but they still allow you to feel most of the warmth to help keep your hands feeling toasty. They are great conversation pieces also especially in the office break room.

I am so disappointed with this pattern. The instructions themselves are clear enough, but there are absolutely no photos to guide the crafter, or even one of the finished project! I was able to track this pattern down at the original Red Heart Yarn site where I also found a downloadable pattern. Heres the link http//www.redheart.com/free-patterns/owl-mug-wrap Editors, pleaseinclude the original link in the above entry if youre not at least posting a photo, too.

I've never seen this Cherrycola yarn from Red Heart. It's got a nice ombre effect to it. A super cute wise owl will keep my coffee hot while I'm crocheting more coffee cozies to give as gifts! We are given the pattern right here on the page. No need to click a link to be redirected to another website. I am saving this one for my own project list.

I really like this pattern and cannot wait to start working this one up! My only concern would be my problems with the right side/wrong side work. Are there any easy ways to tell the right side from the wrong side? Has anyone else ever encountered any problems with working these kinds of patterns?

I too had this problem, but I learned that the tail is my marker. I'm right handed, so the tail after crocheting a chain should be on the left. In this pattern, this is the right side, turn your work to work the second row and the tail will be on the right, this is the wrong side. I hope this helps.
