Painted Canton Cowl
"The Painted Canyon Cowl is made with I Love This Yarn! in the color way Painted Canyon, which offers a beautiful color way that includes coral, teal, gray, and white. The Cowl is made by holding two strands of worsted weight yarn together. If desired, it can be made with using a single strand of bulky yarn. This pattern is worked in the round, however you will still need to turn the work and work in the opposite direction after each round."

Okay, going to the link answered a question for me. The title of this post contains a misspelling. It should read Painted CANYON after the Hobby Lobby yarn the designer chose to use. The nearest Hobby Lobby to us is over 100 miles away, and although they are building one in our area, its not scheduled to open until Spring. I was able to find the yarn on their website so I have a good idea of what it looks like in the package.

First off, maybe fix the teensy-weensy typo in the pattern listed above. It reads "Painted Canton Cowl"- should be Painted Canyon Cowl -) No biggie! I am new to the world of I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby. But I went there a couple days ago and dang, I just HAVE to create this cowl with the "Painted Canyon" yarn! It like that it's not real oversized and doubled over, just a simple ring around the neck. Love!

I think this cowl would make a gorgeous Christmas gift for a few people on my list. Hobby Lobby yarns are very good quality yarns. I love the variety they have. I am thinking about making this cowl with a cotton yarn though because acrylic, to me, is just too scratchy against my skin. Does anyone else have this problem?
