Stars and Stripes Utensil Crock
Patriotic decor does not have to be stuck to specific holidays. Why not fly the flag every day in your own way? This Stars and Stripes Utensil Crock is a patriotic twist on an otherwise boring kitchen accessory. This easy crochet project can be used outside during the summer for barbecues and afterwards can be re-used in a child's room as a crochet pen and pencil holder, or in your own craft room as a handmade cup for your crochet hooks! While this is a red, white, and blue crochet project it can also be transformed into a fun starry accessory for the home.

This is a great idea for picnics. I have chased loose plastic eating utensils across a table more times than I care to admit. Ive used other containers, but nothing as heavy as a repurposed Mason jar. I can a lot, and this would be perfect for those with slightly chipped edges. Check out her other patriotic patterns, too. I love the little rocket ships!

I am loving the idea of decorating the entire table setting, end to end, in patriotic decor like these utensil crocks. I already have a pantry full of Mason jars, so it's a start! You will need a hot glue gun to adhere the stars around the top. I don't have one myself, but now there is a reason why I should buy one.

Two of my favorite words in crochet are, quick and easy. This pattern is both. I know I can make a couple in one night to take to a Fourth of July party. I was asked to bring the plastic utensils. Won't they love to see them inside these cute cups? Thanks for sharing!
