Mosaic Crochet Hot Pad
"The crocheted hot pad as with crocheted pot holders are great gifts to crochet. The mosaic crochet stitch may make this look difficult for beginners, however contrary to what it looks like you only use one strands of yarn at the time. But if you’re a complete beginner, choosing a different trivet pattern or crocheted potholder pattern may be better, such as this dishcloth made up of granny squares. The double layer on this crochet hot pad also makes it great for pans and can be used as trivets when you take something out of the oven. Take care to keep the temperature in mind of course, as cotton yarn may not withstand every temperature or protect every surface."
