I kept looking for the name of this particular stitch but couldnt find it anywhere in the pattern. Its obviously some variation of a Spike Stitch. The designer provides plenty of step by step photos and explanations detailing how to work the stitch, and there is a readily accessible download, too. She also includes a handy link to 60 additional stitch tutorials.
