Dish soap bottle dresses were popular when I was a little girl. It is true what they say, everything old is new again. The one my Mom had was not crochet but a little cloth dress. It had frills and everything. What I wouldn't do to have that little dress. I love this crochet design and I think this is the perfect Christmas gifts for all the ladies in my family.

This is a darling little accessory to brighten up the kitchen. We all need that dish soap even if we have a dishwasher. I know I have a bottle of dish soap handy near the kitchen sink and it would look so much nicer in a little dress like this. Thanks for the pattern and providing two sizes.

I have a similar pattern for an apron that goes over a dish detergent bottle, but this is so much prettier! Its also a lot larger than the apron pattern since it will fit a large Dawn bottle (25 oz). The designer calls for using cotton yarn, but Ive actually had success with regular acrylic. The idea is that you can use the dress (or apron) as a dishcloth, but no one Ive given the items to actually do that.

This is cute. I make these with regular sewing materials and make the set. I have been making them for years now and selling them at flea markets. I make the dish liquid apron, the toaster cover, the blender cover, the towel, and the table runner with the same material and add lace or other designs on them and they all match. I hadn't thought of making the set crocheted but now I can. Thank you sooo much for the design and idea. This will give me a break from the sewing machine and at the same time I will still be doing something that I love to do and relax at the same time. I will try to post a picture of my crafts as soon as possible. Maybe someone else will start making my crafts too.
