Christmas Chair Socks
Just because these Christmas Chair Socks are made with red and green yarn, doesn't mean they can't be used all year-round! Use any color yarn that matches your dining room decor. This super easy crochet pattern is a clever way to protect your floors as well as the bottom of your chairs. This would be a perfect stocking stuffer idea because they are small and compact, and perfect for couples in a new home.

For those of you that like to protect your home, this is a win-win project. No only can you protect the floors of your home you can add a little style as well with these chair socks. I plan to make these for my chairs and have them in colors to match the season just to keep it interesting. Great way to use up some of those yarn scraps.

I was wondering the reason for calling this Christmas chair socks. I get it. The designer crocheted them in the traditional colors of Christmas. At my house because of the type of floors we have, this would be a great project. Not only can I protect my floors I can add a special touch to the room depending on the color yarn I use to make these.

Ive seen this tip in a womens magazine ages ago, but they suggested using actual socks rubber banded in place. Efficient but hardly an elegant solution. I remember my mom using this trick after freshly waxing the kitchen floor (does anyone even do that anymore?) Having a set of matching chair socks would be so much better especially since you could make sets for specific holidays, too.

I had to laugh when I opened this one, my girlfriend on Facebook just posted this pattern to my page saying, I crochet everything for everyone and anything and I needed these. LOL I have hardwood floors and these Christmas Chair Socks are the best! Not only do they save your floors, they look so cute! So far everyone who has visited has commented on these. I made them using one color and will be making some candy cane looking ones for Christmas season. They are the best ever and I just love this pattern. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

Chair leg cozies. Now thats different. I guess the old school way of putting tennis balls on the legs of the chairs now have met their match. Look very easy to make and what a good way to use up your yarn scraps. No more slide marks from chair bottoms and a lot less noise.
