The Hanging Basket

"I created this basket because I needed to keep my glasses and phone by the bed and I didn't have a great place to store them. It's a great little catch-all! Here’s everything you need to know before getting started on your basket: Skill Level: Easy Materials: crochet hook (US M/N) 9.00 mm 80 yards of size 6 (super bulky) yarn (I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick) tapestry needle sewing scissors Stitches: slip stitch (SLST) chain (CH) single crochet (SC) half double crochet (HDC) reverse single crochet (RSC) skip a stitch (SK) Gauge: 3 HDC rows x 4 HDC sts = 2” square."

I love to have extra storage any where I can get it. I can see this hanging in the bathroom for extras like makeup brushes or at the doorway for a key basket. It is small enough to fit almost anywhere. I like this hanging basket project and even more the little tag added for decor.

I can appreciate this hanging basket. Any time there is an option to add additional storage in a stylish manner it is a project for me. This would be perfect on the bed post to keep the television remote handy or a tube of moisturizer. I thank you for sharing this project.

Oh, do I feel your pain about needing bifocal glasses and groping around in the middle of the night trying to find things! This handy basket is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. I dont need it for glasses, but it will be great for the TV remotes. We also had two power outages due to snowstorms recently, so I have a small but powerful flashlight Id like to tuck in there as well. Ill make another basket for Dear Hubbys side of the bed, too.

The perfect basket to keep glasses and phone within easy reach. The basket simply slips over the bedpost to keep all essentials handy and easy to find at night in the dark. The perfect size for all those little bits and pieces that would normally get lost or misplaced.
