So this lapghan consists of nine rows that repeat through the project. Honestly this design looks like it is a complicated project but that can not be further from the truth. I can not wait to make this. I already have in mind who will receive this. Yellow just happens to be her favorite color.

Just another lapgan with a lot of flair. I love the pattern in this design. Yellow is not one of my favorite colors but this reminds me of sunflowers. I enjoyed the video. I always learn something new when I take the time to view instructional videos. Thanks so much for the free pattern.

To get us started on this free pattern, the designer just added a video tutorial last week. In the video, she addresses so of the most often asked questions received from readers about this pattern. The lapghan would look perfect placed on the back of a chair, but it is casual enough to actually use too.

The designer has done a really nice job both providing the written instructions as well as an easily readable set of graphic charts. I didnt have a problem working up a swatch, but apparently others did. So shes now included an instructional video demonstrating how to work the chart for the main body of the lapghan. Not hard, but you do have to pay attention to your stitch count.

I have done this diamond stitch design in a boho chic cotton rug, but on a bigger, grander scale. It looks complicated and a little scary, but do not be afraid. It is actually pretty easy to do, and fun, too! For this afghan, even if you do not favor the gold and purple color, why don't you try a taupe with a dark chocolate brown for the trim.
